Lord! How Wondrous is Your Grace!

Hallelujah, in the holy name of the Lord Jesus, I testify:

I, Dns Chin En Jin, am 84 years old and a member of the True Jesus Church in Kudat, Sabah. I want to testify to the great power of the Lord, who healed me from a severe illness.

In 2022, after receiving the third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, I was infected with the virus shortly after. Initially, my symptoms were mild, resembling a cold and cough, and I thought they were not serious. However, after more than a month, around March 2022, I noticed something was wrong. My urine became increasingly yellow and cloudy. Coincidentally, I had a follow-up appointment at Kudat Hospital and had blood and urine tests.

The results revealed that my health was in a critical state. The doctor asked if my stool was white, to which I replied no. Nonetheless, he gravely recommended that I immediately travel to Kota Kinabalu for further scans and tests. I proceeded to Damai's blood test centre in Kota Kinabalu for a detailed blood examination.

When the report came back, the doctor informed me that my liver was in very poor condition and suspected liver cancer, suggesting more in-depth examinations. I sought treatment at JMC, a private hospital where I had previously consulted a liver specialist. However, due to the pandemic, my follow-ups had been on hold for over a year. At JMC, I underwent a liver scan, and my blood samples were sent to Kuala Lumpur for analysis.

During this period, my condition worsened. I lost my appetite and struggled to swallow water or sleep. I became frail, and my abdomen began to swell with fluid. My urine output decreased significantly, becoming thick and cloudy. Unable to expel water from my body, my abdomen grew bloated, resembling that of a three to four-month pregnancy, accompanied by lower abdominal pain.

At this point, my liver issue had affected all my organs. I experienced frequent flatulence and discharged an egg-white-like fluid. My condition deteriorated to ascites (fluid buildup in the abdomen), and my legs began to swell. I knew my time was running out. Typically, patients with liver disease who reach the stage of ascites are terminal. I had seen others passed away shortly after reaching this stage. My test results showed alarmingly high bad indices of 2,000–3,000, while the good indices were only 20–30.

When the doctor saw the results, he shook his head and described the situation as extremely severe. He prescribed three medications but explained that they could not eliminate the fluid buildup. If it worsened, surgery to drain the fluid would be necessary.

Thank God, for "man's end is God's beginning." Although I recognised that my time might be short, I was willing to surrender my life to God. I had already distributed my belongings and entrusted everything else to Him. If the Lord was willing to keep me, I prayed for healing; if He wished to take me home, I was ready. Despite this, I did not miss any opportunity to seek spiritual grace. Whenever there were gatherings, I went forward to receive the laying on of hands from the ordained ministers, praying earnestly for God’s healing grace.

Miraculously, the fluid in my abdomen began to reduce, and the swelling in my legs subsided. The Lord spared me the pain of surgery to drain the fluid. Today, my heart overflows with gratitude for the Lord's wondrous grace. I thank Him for preserving my life until now.

At my age, surviving such a severe illness is entirely due to the Lord Jesus’ mighty healing power and the health He has mercifully restored to me. My heart is filled with unending gratitude. As the Scriptures say:

"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever" (Psalm 23:4–6).

I also want to thank the ordained mininsters, brothers, and sisters, as well as my children, sons-in-law, and grandchildren, who prayed for me. May God remember your love and may His grace always be with you.

All glory and honour be to the Most High in heaven. In the holy name of the Lord Jesus. Amen!
