Individuals must first achieve reconciliation with themselves and with one another before they can reconcile with God.
Reconciliation with God is essential for the salvation of the soul (Romans 5:10).
- Believers can only be reconciled with God through self-examination, repentance, confessing sins, forgiving one another, and strengthening themselves to overcome weaknesses (Hebrews 4:15, Romans 5:6, Romans 12:10). Those seeking baptism must believe, repent, and be baptized for the forgiveness of sins (Acts 2:38).
- Being an enemy of God can manifest not only through actions that disregard the truth but also through thoughts that reject God as Saviour, acceptance of false teachings, and a misguided sense of wisdom that dismisses the reality of Jesus Christ's death on the cross (Psalm 78:22).
